Unslumping:
the Book
New chapters are exciting…
a fresh start, a big change, a wide-open future.
But even good change can get heavy.
The pressure builds.
The excitement fades.
And the silence gets loud.
This little book was made for this moment.
Inspired by Dr. Suess’s, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, these timeless truths will help you:
- Put some life in your life.
- Feel seen in your sadness.
- Remember that you’re not alone.
- Take the first step toward lasting hope.
So, in true Seuss fashion-with rhythm and rhyme-these pages will meet you, one truth at a time.
If your spark feels dim or your smile feels fake, when the weight is too much or your heart starts to break.
This book is a guide, a soft place to land-a voice in the fog that says, “Take my hand.”

Why This Book Looks Different
(And Why That’s a Good Thing)
Because Unslumping Yourself Is Not Easily Done is intentionally designed to be a light, approachable read. We know that when you’re grieving or feeling emotionally drained, it can be tough to get through long chapters. That’s why each page is crafted to give you just a bite-sized piece of hope, a simple truth, and a moment of encouragement you can hold onto.
It’s a book that’s easy to pick up, read a page or two and feel a little lighter. Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! , this book is meant to be a companion through seasons, helping you find your way back to joy one small step at a time.

Jennifer’s Heart for Freedom
Jennifer Beckham is an author, speaker, pastor, counselor, and corporate leadership trainer with 30 years of ministry and leadership experience. After the sudden loss of her husband to COVID, she became a certified Grief Recovery Specialist, combining her personal journey with professional expertise to support individuals in their healing and train organizations to navigate trauma and life transitions with greater compassion and confidence.
Jennifer travels regularly to speak at churches, conferences, schools, and corporate events on topics like personal growth, emotional health, leadership, spiritual renewal, and overcoming life’s unexpected turns. She is also a nightly LIVE creator, leading an online community of thousands several evenings a week—offering Truth, hope, and real-time connection for those walking through loss, transition, or spiritual disconnection.
While Jennifer’s method of ministry has shifted in recent years—following the loss of her husband and the closing of their church—her mission remains the same. Her heart has always been for restoration and for true, lasting personal and spiritual transformation.
Most recently, her focus has been on creating resources to help people dig deeper into the Word for themselves, including the development of a free app for her community to learn, grow, and connect. Stay tuned for the launch of Jennifer’s free app, coming very soon!
Personally, Jennifer’s family is her everything. She’s the proud mom of two adult children (and the two bonus children they’ve brought into the family) and resides in Jacksonville, Florida. Jennifer is available for bookings here.
