• The Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God and that it contains all the answers to life and its challenges. It is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” It is the authority on which we base our faith, doctrine, and conduct in this life. 2 Timothy 3:15-16.
• That there is only one true God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:2; John 10:30; Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7; Deuteronomy 32:39; 1 John 5:7.
• Man was created by God, in the image of God, to have fellowship with God. But because of our own willful, sinful disobedience to this Holy God we became separated in that relationship. And since “the wages of sin is death” and man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort, we needed a Savior who would save us and redeem us from the curse of sin and shame and restore us into right relationship with God, our Father. Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7; 2:18-22; 3:1-24; Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23
• God is a loving and patient God who reaches out to us while we are yet sinners--desiring that none would perish but that ALL would come to repentance. Romans 5:8; 2 Peter 3:9, 1Timothy 2:4
• Because of our sin problem that caused brokenness in our relationship with Him, God chose to provide a "sacrifice" for our sins--His very own son, Jesus, who was miraculously born from the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and yet was crucified on a cruel cross so that, by the shedding of His blood, Jesus could serve as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Luke 1:26-33; Matthew 1:18-24; 2 Corinthians 5:21
• After Jesus was crucified, He rose again from the dead on the third day, and ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor. John 19:41 - 20:10; John 20:19-20; Hebrews 7:25
• God is a good God—that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
• Salvation is a free gift from God that cannot be earned by our own merits or good deeds. A person is only saved by grace through faith in and the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; John 14:6
